Asus ROG Strix G35CA, a Powerful Gaming PC
When building a PC, gamers typically choose gaming devices with the highest performance. Off-the-shelf gaming PCs are also available from many gaming brands, including Asus ROG.
We have
developed a gaming PC "ROG Strix G35CA" with cutting-edge and latest
specifications. Of course, pricing is not cheap either. I've used it and found
it worth the money. This is a review of the Asus ROG Strix G35CA.
As a gaming
PC, the Asus ROG Strix G35CA should have a futuristic look. You can tell by the
design, which is full of signature ROG accents. But not too big dimensions are
packed.
This gaming
PC is very compact and not overpriced like a mid-tower case. This allows it to
be placed on the table without taking up too much space.
The ROG
Strix G35CA isn't really just a PC, its specs list a maximum weight of 15kg. A
top handle makes it simple to lift.
There are
numerous air pockets on the front and top of the body. This allows the Asus ROG
Strix G35CA to have plenty of airflow despite its not-so-large dimensions.
Noise, on the other hand, can be heard fairly clearly. We believe every PC
should perform at its best. Rest assured, it's equipped with a more than
adequate cooling system, such as Asus ROG liquid cooling. Dust should be able
to enter easily so as not to interfere with regular cleaning.
The left
panel is glass material, but with some ROG accents. You'll immediately see the
built-in components and his RGB effects (presets of course). When lit, nearly
every component appears to emit an RGB effect and is extensively customizable
through the Armory Crate application. Due to this unique size, different
assembly models are used for some components.
It is
strictly not recommended to open and refresh. One reason is that the components
are built with precision. In addition, some components are mounted using
multiple supports and have unique models. It's like a graphics card installed
vertically.
This also
applies to power packs. Instead of the usual horizontal downward placement, the
Asus ROG Strix G35CA sits vertically behind the motherboard.
that's
right. The mainboard's main carrier backplate is positioned in the center of
this gaming PC, leaving the remaining space behind it large enough to
accommodate your components and cables. Therefore, although they are not very
visible to the naked eye, their dimensions are quite large. As a gaming PC,
Asus ROG Strix G35CA offers a very comprehensive interface. The front of the
housing has two USB-C and USB-A ports, plus a separate he 3.5 mm audio jack for
microphone and headset.
The power
button is a bit oddly located, in the middle of the front panel and quite
large. Unique is the presence of two hot-swappable SATA SSD ports. Yes, you can
install an additional his SSD without turning off your PC and immediately
remove it.
ASUS says
the feature is intended to support speed-critical activities such as esports.
There's also a headset holder on top, indicating that this gaming PC is
suitable for tabletop installation.
The final
exclusive feature in the retail bundle is the ROG Keystone. It's a small
button-like component that stores RGB lighting profiles and instantly activates
when installed on devices that already support it.
As we
already mentioned, the Asus ROG Strix G35CA has the most advanced specs for a
gaming PC today. He chose the Intel Core i9-13900KF.
Only one
type of processor is used, a duet with his VGA option of the GeForce RTX 3080
and his RTX 4080. RAM capacity is available in 16 GB and 32 GB options, and 2
TB + 2 TB storage with NVMe SSD is also available.
The
motherboard already uses the Z790 chipset and 850W power supply.
To
complement this feature and performance, the retail bundle includes Asus ROG
Chakram and Strix Scope mice and keyboards. There is also an HDMI cable that
makes it easy to connect to your existing monitor.
We tested
the Asus ROG Strix G35CA with an MSI Optix MPG341CQR monitor running at a
resolution of 3840 x 1440 pixels.
Even running
Cyberpunk 2077 and Far Cry 6 games, Cyberpunk 2077's Ultra Ray Tracing settings
have been proven to display visual quality at speeds averaging 60 fps. Far Cry,
on the other hand, is smoother, averaging 96 fps.
Heavyweight
games released last year and this year are guaranteed to run at the highest
graphics settings of the RTX 4080 variant. About 35% better performance based
on the class of graphics card.
Asus ROG
Strix G35CA is a special gaming PC. Along with high-end specs, it also features
unique design and features found only in the Asus ROG lineup. No more checking
the specs for every game you want to play.
The design
is also cool, so it will be shown to everyone who visits the room. The RTX 4080
graphics card version is priced at IDR 95,999,000 in Indonesia, which is great.
Is this price expensive? Or maybe not, according to gamer enthusiasts and
die-hard Asus ROG fans.
